Member Services & Support

TASA members have access to a variety of services that support them as school leaders and as people, including professional learning opportunities, legislative advocacy and information, career and legal support, and services that support their personal well-being. But above all else, our supportive network of school leaders can be your lifeline when you need mentorship or inspiration.

Advocacy

Legislative advocacy on behalf of Texas schoolchildren is one of the most important benefits of TASA membership. Our Governmental Relations team helps us maintain the visibility and respect needed to effectively advocate for public schools. TASA members also benefit from services, programs, and information that help them play a crucial role as advocates for public education in Texas — both as ambassadors and as activists.

Professional Learning & Networking

TASA hosts innovative conferences and professional development events to provide our members and others with experiences and resources that allow them to grow as school leaders. Members find many opportunities — both organized and informal — to connect with colleagues, share ideas, collaborate, and to be inspired.

Career Center

Find a new job or fill an empty position. TASA’s Career Center job posting service features a variety of employment opportunities posted by school districts, ESCs, TEA, charter and private schools, and other Texas education organizations in Texas. (Posting is free for districts with a superintendent membership.)

Financial Planning Services

TASA members in the Active Membership Category are eligible for a variety of important financial planning services at reduced rates, including two free hours of financial consultation paid by TASA.

Legal Support

The law firm of Cory Hartsfield P.C. provides eligible TASA members in the Active Membership Category with consultation relating to the superintendent’s employment contract, superintendent and board relations, and other topics related to professional duties and employment.

Mental Health & Well-Being Support

Being a leader is tough. So in addition to our Breakaway Leadership leadership development program, we provide TASA members and their families with access to mental health and stress-reduction/wellness programs that support their overall well-being.

News & Information Resources

Communications including TASA Daily and Capitol Watch Alert keep TASA members up to date on education headlines, legislative/policy news and legal issues. TASA members also enjoy free subscriptions to our online INSIGHT and Texas School Business magazines and access to our membership directory.

Leadership Support

TASA members may call on our team of Executive Superintendents — highly regarded former superintendents who are experts on public school leadership. They are your “go-to” on matters related to public school leadership, career pathways, and the transformation of Texas public education.

Leadership Opportunities

Get engaged and grow as a leader. TASA members have opportunities to participate on committees and take on other leadership roles, such as participating in our Superintendent Mentoring Program.

District Services & Subscriptions

TASA members may enroll their districts in our optional district services and subscriptions, which can help them make an even greater impact on their schools and community.
