Future-Ready Superintendents Leadership Network (FRSLN)
TASA’s Future-Ready Superintendents Leadership Network (FRSLN) is a superintendent-designed and superintendent-led group of future-focused school leaders who gather for events that provide authentic learning and rich networking experiences, help FRSLN members expand their leadership beyond the local level, and advance the principles of the school transformation visioning document, Creating a New Vision for Public Education in Texas.
Each year, superintendents who have shown interest in creating and sustaining student-centered schools and developing future-ready students are nominated to be part of FRSLN. Nominated superintendents may request up to three additional seats for central office or campus leaders on their teams. See a list of FRSLN members.

FRSLN Visits McKinney and Blue Ridge ISDs
FRSLN met for the third time for 2022-23 in North Texas in March 2023, with visits to both McKinney and Blue Ridge ISDs. The theme was “Leading and Learning,” and participants focused on how learning organizations develop structures and systems for shared leadership and develop capacity in all areas of the district. Thanks to Chris Kingsley with Royse City ISD for putting together this video of the event!
What Participants of FRSLN are Saying
Being a part of this amazing group of dedicated and forward thinking educators inspires me to be better at what I do, to work harder for what I believe is best for children, and to push the limits to maintain focus on the things that matter most of all.
As a district team, the FRSLN experiences provide us with a springboard to move forward together. As an individual, the time spent learning, reflecting and growing as a future-ready leader is invaluable. The opportunity to network and learn from like-minded leaders from around the state is one of the most powerful components of FRSLN.
FRSLN is special because we take time to reflect with and learn from others, and we have conversations about what we WANT public schools to aspire to be. To think about meeting students’ needs — through creativity and innovative practices — and doing things differently.
The experiences provided through each FRSLN event have been very powerful and made me reflect on our direction and inspired me to take action. Being around other thought leaders is very motivational and has brought me out of the weeds to refocus!
The time to get away and see the great things that are happening in other districts through FRSLN has been so impactful and then connecting that to transformation in my own district has been so valuable. This network and opportunity keeps me fresh and energized to continue to do the hard work each and every day. I want to extend a BIG thank-you to the design team and host districts for a wonderful experience that is filled with intention and positive experiences.
FRSLN continues to be the most thought-provoking training that I’m engaged in.
