TASA Event Cancellation Policy

Per-individual cancellation fees for TASA conferences and workshops are $75 for events $250 or more, $50 for events $249 or less, and $25 for preconferences. All requests must be submitted via the TASA Member Services Center. No hard-copy, faxed, or emailed requests will be accepted.

How to Cancel or Transfer Event Registration

The ability to cancel or transfer event registration varies by event. Take these steps to see your options for managing your event registration:

  1. Log in to the TASA Member Services Center and view your profile page.
  2. Using the left navigation (under your photo and name), select My Events.
  3. You will see a list of events for which you are currently registered.
  4. Click on “Click Here” to access the event overview page, where you will find a drop-down menu that provides options for managing your registration. Follow the prompts.

Cancellation Deadlines

Cancellations for most events must be submitted at least three (3) working days prior to the event; major conferences generally have an earlier cancellation deadline, which is posted with the registration information for each conference.

TASA understands that there are many reasons for cancellations, which is why there is great flexibility prior to the cancellation date. However, once the cancellation deadline has passed, due to very high “sunk costs” to TASA, no refunds are able to be given under any circumstances, for any reasons, including illnesses, acts of God, travel-related problems, acts of terrorism, loss of employment and/or duplicate purchases. Thank you for your understanding.


No-shows will be billed in full with no refund issued. Substitutions may be made through the TASA Member Services Center.


Refunds will be issued only for paid invoices, provided that the organization is in good financial standing with TASA. The refund — regardless of payment type — will be issued by check to the individual’s organization of record. The refund will be issued no sooner than thirty (30) days after the final day of the event.

TASA Cancellation of an Event

TASA reserves the right to cancel all or portions of an event if minimum registration targets are not met. If an event is canceled, registrants will be notified seven (7) working days prior to the workshop/conference and a full refund will be issued.

TASA recommends that you do not purchase nonrefundable airline tickets or make nonrefundable hotel reservations. If you choose to do so, you are responsible for all terms and restrictions.
