New! Small Schools Network
Small Texas school districts share their own special set of challenges. So for 2023-24, TASA is launching a Small Schools Network to provide further support — through customized professional development and networking events — to districts with fewer than 1,200 students.
A design team composed of leaders of small school districts from across Texas is meeting this summer to shape the network’s vision and scope.

2023-24 Small Schools Network
Membership
Participation in the 2023-24 Small Schools Network is limited to a maximum of 225 participants representing Texas school districts with fewer than 1,200 students.
Schedule
Network events will be a combination of in-person and virtual events.
In-Person Event #1: November 15-16, 2023 | Blue Ridge ISD
Meetup at the TASA Midwinter: January 2024, Austin
Virtual Event: March 5, 2024 | 8:30-10 a.m.
In-Person Event #2: May 8-9, 2024 | Port Aransas ISD
Network Events
Modeled after TASA’s extremely popular Future-Ready Superintendents Network (FRSLN), in-person events will be hosted by small districts, where participants will have the opportunity to visit campuses and learn directly from district leaders and educators how they are leveraging their strengths and overcoming challenges.
Participants will be invited to a meetup event in January 2024 during the TASA Midwinter Conference in Austin. Details TBA!
A virtual event will also be held in March 2024. Participants will have the opportunity to connect and share ideas with fellow leaders from small districts across the state in that session.
Membership Rate ($500 per Seat)*

How Superintendents May Subscribe
Step 1
Log in to the TASA Member Services Center.
Step 2
Click on the Membership tab and then on the Membership Signup button (even if you have already joined or renewed your TASA membership for the new school year).
Step 3
Scroll down and select your name from the list.
Step 4
Once the screen changes, scroll down to Small Schools Network, select the number of participants from your district, and follow the prompts to complete your order. Please note that SSN will appear on the list ONLY for those listed in our system as superintendents of districts with fewer than 1,200 students.
What Happens Next
Prior to the first event in November, subscribed superintendents will receive an email from TASA Professional Learning with details.
CPE Hours
Participation in the Small Schools Network will provide up to 30 Continuing Professional Education credit for participants.
