Learning from Fellow Leaders
TASA’s major conferences bring school leaders from across the state together to network, share ideas, discuss strategies, and collaborate on a wide range of issues of importance to school administrators from career development and leadership to teaching and learning.
TASA Midwinter Conference
TASA has hosted the Midwinter Conference since 2004. It has become the most popular conference of the year for Texas school administrators because it provides a valuable opportunity for school leaders to come together to discuss and share innovative practices, network with peers, address the administrative issues they face every day, and gain fresh insights.
Since 1961, school administrators and board members have come together at the joint TASA/TASB conference to secure the training they need to fulfill their differing roles and to explore solutions to the challenges they face in their communities together. TASA co-sponsors the convention with the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB).
Texas Assessment Conference
Now in its 34th year, the Texas Assessment Conference remains the only statewide conference dedicated to providing the latest information on assessment, testing, and accountability in education — elementary, secondary, and post-secondary. TASA assists TAACE, TACTP, and TSNAP with the conference.
