Executive Coaching Network

New for 2023-24, TASA is pleased to launch, in collaboration with the Texas Leadership Center, a new opportunity for practicing superintendents who want to elevate their leadership journey and transform their professional lives.

The TASA Executive Coaching Network strategically pairs clients (that’s you!) with experienced executive coaches (most are current or former school superintendents) who are trained to guide you through a thought-provoking and creative coaching process.

Together, you’ll identify strategic goals, develop actionable plans, enhance your leadership practices, and unlock your full potential. Through the coaching process, you will learn how to show up as the best version of yourself, maximize your impact in your district community, and achieve higher levels of fulfillment in all aspects of your life.

2023-24 Executive Coaching Network

Why Executive Coaching?

We all have goals we want to reach, challenges we’re striving to overcome, and times when we feel stuck or when we just want to grow as leaders. According to the 2022 ICF Global Coaching Outcomes Awareness Study, leaders participating in executive coaching report remarkable benefits:

  • improved communication skills
  • increased self-esteem
  • better work-life balance
  • enhanced productivity
  • optimized teamwork performance
  • improved leadership and management strategies
  • accelerated onboarding into new professional roles

The Difference in Coaching vs. Mentoring

Mentors share their past experiences as examples to help you answer your questions. Coaches ask questions that help you find your own answers. Coaching goes deeper into the client’s specific challenges and often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity, and leadership.

Time Commitment

Each client decides how often they meet with their coach. While we recommend that you meet every other week, you may decide that a monthly meeting works better for you.

Who Should Participate?

Participation in the TASA Executive Coaching Network is intended for all practicing school superintendents, both new and experienced. First-year superintendents benefit from partnering with a coach while also participating in our Superintendent Mentoring Program and First-Time Superintendents Academy.

About the Coaches

Only the most talented and successful Texas school leaders (most are current or former school superintendents) are invited to become coaches for the TASA Executive Coaching Network. Our coaches are trained extensively on the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Core Competencies. ICF is the leading global organization for coaches and coaching. Credentials are awarded to professional coaches who have met stringent education and experience requirements and have demonstrated a thorough understanding of the coaching competencies that set the standard in the profession. Achieving credentials through ICF signifies a coach’s commitment to integrity, understanding and mastery of coaching skills, and dedication to clients.

Special Introductory Pricing (and Free Coaching for First-Time Superintendents)

When first-time superintendents enroll in TASA’s First-Time Superintendents Academy, they will be provided with an executive coach for their first year at no cost. Other interested superintendents, regardless of experience, should contact TASA for a proposal and pricing. As the TASA Executive Coaching Network is a new offering, special introductory rates for executive coaching are being offered. As we scale this new program, subsidized pricing will be offered to superintendents using a sliding scale based on district size. Contact Brandon Core at TASA to learn more about the coaching program and to request pricing and a proposal.
