All-New School Transformation Network
For 2023-24, TASA will reboot our School Transformation Network as a professional development program with monthly virtual meetings October through April.
What is school transformation? It’s about preparing students to be future-ready by engaging them with technologies, and using learning standards that focus on the development of the whole person, tapping curiosity and imagination. It’s about continuously assessing student progress using a variety of tools and adjusting learning environments so they best meet students’ needs. It is a movement based on the guiding principles of of the school transformation visioning document, Creating a New Vision for Public Education in Texas.
A small design team of superintendents and other leaders who have participated in TASA’s Future-Ready Superintendents Leadership Network (FRSLN) will identify timely, emerging topics to be addressed during each School Transformation Network virtual session. Each session will include a learning opportunity (large group) and small group breakout sessions by district size.
