Small Schools Network
Small Texas school districts share their own special set of challenges. TASA’s Small Schools Network provides support — through customized professional development and networking events — to districts with fewer than 1,300 students.
A design team composed of leaders of small school districts from across Texas plans the network’s learning events.

Schedule
Network events are a combination of in-person and virtual events.

Network Events
Modeled after TASA’s extremely popular Future-Ready Superintendents Network (FRSLN), in-person events are hosted by small districts, where participants have the opportunity to visit campuses and learn directly from district leaders and educators how they are leveraging their strengths and overcoming challenges.
Participants were also invited to a meetup event in January during the TASA Midwinter Conference in Austin.
A virtual event will be held during the school year. Participants will have the opportunity to connect and share ideas with fellow leaders from small districts across the state in that session.
Membership
Participation in the 2024-25 Small Schools Network is limited to a maximum of 225 participants representing Texas school districts with fewer than 1,300 students.

The rates listed below are for a subscription that includes ALL in-person and virtual events. They do not include travel expenses.

How Superintendents May Subscribe (and Attend ALL Network Events)
Step 1
Log in to the TASA Member Services Center. (If you have not yet logged in to this new system, launched in April 2024, find important information on doing so here.)
Step 2
Once logged in, use the left navigation on your profile page, click on Membership & Subscriptions.
Step 3
Toggle, using the tabs (blue text) at the top of the page, to view the list of subscriptions.
Step 4
Scroll down to “Small Schools Network” and click on the “Sign Up” button.
Please note that the button will be visible to you ONLY if you are listed in our system as a superintendent of a district with ADA under 1,300. If you are not the district superintendent but are interested in participating, please talk to your superintendent about subscribing.
Step 5
You will go to a screen that shows pricing based on how many participants you will bring from your district. Choose the option you want then click on the “Submit” button.
Step 6
Enter payment information and click on “Process Payment” to complete your purchase.
What Happens Next
When it’s time to register for the first SSN event, you will receive an email with further instructions.
