What's Next for TASA?

In 2025, TASA is not just celebrating our 100th birthday. Thanks to the hard work of TASA members, leaders, and staff, we are also celebrating the fulfillment of all the aspirations set forth in the TASA Strategic Framework — the long-range plan developed by the TASA 2025 Task Force and launched in 2018. Watch this video to hear about what’s next for TASA!

TASA is Celebrating 100 Years!

Over the past 100 years, TASA has become a trusted source of support and resources for those leaders and a vital advocate for Texas public schools. As we mark our centennial year, we honor the legacy of those who helped to build TASA.

Join/Renew for 2025-26 Soon!

If you’re a school leader in a Texas public school, you should be part of TASA. We are more than a professional association; we’re a support system for school leaders from school districts both large and small, rural and urban, and from every corner of the state.

While we are no longer accepting joins/renewals for 2024-25, you may join/renew membership for 2025-26 starting in July!

The May/June issue highlights a district turnaround in Donna ISD. The issue also features profiles on TABSE President Darwin Prater Spiller and TASB President Rolinda Schmidt. The issue contains a Regional View column detailing ESC Region 11’s annual STEAM Carnival. Plus, don’t miss your favorite columns by Jim Walsh and Riney Jordan, plenty of Who’s News, and more.

Read/Share the Spring Issue

The spring issue of INSIGHT offers an update on TASA’s Executive Coaching Network. Plus, TASA continues its centennial celebration with a look back at TASA’s advocacy efforts over the years. The latest “Higher Education” column focuses on adapting to the needs of the Texas teacher workforce. “Tech Take” addresses the future of AI in Texas schools. Elysian Fields ISD Superintendent Monica Simmons shares her “Leadership Perspective” on finding clarity in the balancing act of educational leadership. And Irene Nigaglioni of IN2 Architecture offers insight into how districts can stretch their facilities funds.
