The House Select Committee on Educational Opportunity & Enrichment will meet in Room 140 of the John H. Reagan Building (northwest of the Capitol) starting at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 11, and starting at 9 a.m., Wednesday, July 12, to hear invited testimony on:
- Ensuring all Texas youths enjoy equal educational opportunity and the freedom to obtain a quality education, regardless of circumstance
- Improving outcomes for Texas public school students and meaningfully supporting educators and educational institutions
- Modernizing assessment and accountability measures for Texas schools educating K-12 students
The committee will accept public comment on the following items:
- Educational opportunity and freedom to obtain a quality education
- Improving student outcomes, supporting educators and institutions
- Modernizing assessment and accountability measures for Texas schools
Appropriate public comment submitted through the committee’s public comment portal by Monday, July 17, will be incorporated into the committee report. We encourage TASA members to submit comments to be included in the report. Submit comments online.
