About Me
I have served in an educational capacity for 30 years, but have been a part of the education world my entire life as the child of two lifelong educators. I developed a passion for leadership early and have come to truly understand the positive impact that visionary and transformational leadership can have on those we serve.
In 2019, I transitioned from a successful career as a superintendent to becoming a TASA executive superintendent. In that role, I support superintendents in Regions 8 and 9. In 2022, I added the role of executive coach, offering support for the further development of leadership and growth of the individuals and organizations I serve. I am committed to empowering others in their journey as leaders and lifelong learners. I also continue to lead professional learning and future-ready initiatives in the educational nonprofit sector.
My passion for effective, efficient, and innovative learning environments has been at the forefront of my educational career. I also share a passion for rural schools and the infinite power of those schools to impact their students and future leaders. Having served as a classroom teacher, campus administrator, district administrator, and a district superintendent, I have been able to grow and learn from so many amazing Texas educators. Being able to pay that forward through mentoring and coaching is a rewarding experience, as we get to see superintendents and executives develop and utilize their gifts and strengths in leading those they serve.
I have a deep commitment to empowering others to implement meaningful change and growth personally and professionally. My goal is to be a valuable supporter and thought partner for my clients.
I hold a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University.
My husband, Bryan, and I have three children: Rylie, a Texas Tech graduate serving as a missionary with her husband Chad in Tokyo, Japan; Grayson, a college student in Tyler, Texas; and McCray, a college student in Eunice, Louisiana.
