Happy Holidays!

TASA Headquarters is closed for the holidays! The TASA staff will resume normal business hours and delivery of TASA Daily on Monday, January 6. We wish you and yours a relaxing winter break!

18th Annual Bragging Rights

Each year, the special “Bragging Rights” issue of Texas School Business highlights programs and initiatives in 12 Texas public school districts that showcase innovative thinking, passion, determination, and strong leadership. In these pages, you’ll read about 12 exceptional programs in Texas public schools right now. Please share this issue as a reminder that our public schools are ready to meet, and overcome, any challenge that comes their way. And congratulations to the 12 featured districts!

Read/Share the Fall Issue

The fall issue of TASA’s INSIGHT celebrates the 2025 Texas Teacher of the Year winners and finalists and features TASA’s 2025 Legislative Positions and Priorities. The latest “Higher Education” column by professors Michelle H. Abrego and Kevin Badgett is on fostering engagement in the post-COVID era. “Tech Take” is penned by the TETL Next Digital Shift Committee this issue, and it addresses data-informed change management. Pflugerville ISD Superintendent Quintin Shepherd shares his “Leadership Perspective” on how superintendents can navigate diplomacy without engaging in politics. Tyler ISD’s Jennifer Hines provides the “TSPRA Voice” on what district leaders need to know about the crucial role of school communications. And in this issue’s “Teacher Perspective,” 2024 Texas Teacher of the Year Taniece Thompson-Smith writes about the struggle teachers face with finding balance in their lives.
