2026-27 First-Time Superintendents Academy, Session 4 of 4
TASA’s First-Time Superintendents Academy (FTSA) — the go-to training for beginning Texas superintendents for decades — has been designed around the most important learning outcomes for first- and second-year superintendents.
Session 4: Setting Direction for Your District | April 14-15, 2027
Focus on finance and end-of-year issues, learn about engaging your board in school transformation, and setting a vision and direction as superintendent. Create a plan for moving into the next school year.
Schedule
Day One: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. (breakfast, lunch included) then 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. (reception and dinner)
Day Two: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. (breakfast included)
Housing Reservations for Session 4
Participants must book their own lodging. A housing block has been reserved at the Marriott Austin North in Round Rock. TO GET THE GROUP RATE, YOU MUST BOOK THROUGH A SPECIAL RESERVATION LINK THAT WILL BE POSTED HERE IN SUMMER 2026.
Registration
FTSA online registration will open in summer 2026 all four 2026-27 sessions. FTSA is a rolling cohort, and new superintendents may join at any time throughout the year. If you are unable to attend any of the sessions as scheduled, you may always register for any missed sessions the following year.
Cost is $245 per TASA member and $295 per non-member per session. You must register for each of the four sessions separately; see links below.
