TASA’s First-Time Superintendents Academy (FTSA) — the go-to training for beginning Texas superintendents for over 30 years — has been designed around the most important learning outcomes for first- and second-year superintendents.
Session 2: Establishing Leadership and Prioritizing Change | September 7-8, 2022
Dive into prioritizing the needs of your new district, the most effective board practices, and shaping the narrative about your district through public relations. Begin work on a portfolio of supportive evidence for your superintendent’s evaluation.
Day One: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (breakfast, lunch included)
Day Two: 7:30 a.m. – noon (breakfast included)

A rate of $142 per night is available from Tuesday, September 6, to Thursday, September 8, 2022.
The deadline to take advantage of the group rate is Saturday, August 27.

Registration for those attending just Session 2 will be open July 29-September 6, 2022.
There are no cancellations for individual academy sessions; however, if you cannot attend a session you registered for, you may attend the same session the following year. If you are registered for Session 2 of the First-Time Superintendents Academy but unable to attend, please complete the cancellation/substitution request form to be posted here. If you must cancel your participation in the academy as a whole, there is a cancellation fee of $75.
