Before adjourning to go to the Senate floor on Wednesday, May 17, the Senate Education Committee voted out the following bills related to K-12 that have already been passed by the House:
- HB 1002 (Price, et al.) provides for the inclusion of a licensed chiropractor or physical therapist on a concussion oversight team and expands the list of persons with authority to remove a student from practice or competition following a concussion.
- HB 4375 (VanDeaver/Kuempel) requires students in grades 7-12 to be instructed on how to use automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
