About Me
Over the span of my career, I served as a teacher/coach, principal, assistant superintendent, and 10 years as a superintendent in two districts.
In 2023, I retired and transitioned from a successful 31-year career in public education to becoming an executive coach, corporate executive, and consultant/advisor, offering a cadre of experiences and skills that are instrumental in developing leaders and aspiring leaders. I have a track record of creating effective systems, improving organizational climate and culture, and building leadership capacity.
Having grown up in an impoverished area of Dallas, Texas, I attended Dallas ISD public schools, where key public school educators were instrumental in supporting me to realize my dreams and aspirations. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and Master’s in Education Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas in Houston.
I am compelled to pay it forward and committed to serving and supporting leaders who approach leadership with a growth mindset.
My wife, Stephanie, and I have been married for 23 years, and I am the father of one son, King Davis III.
