About Me

Having led both fast-growth and rural school districts, I have developed a nuanced understanding of the diverse challenges and opportunities within public education. My experience spans multi-level positions in majority-minority districts and schools, driving significant administrative impact and fostering leadership that benefits the entire district.

My career reflects a dedication to creating a positive learning environment while enhancing processes and procedures to support the growth and development of both students and staff. One of my great passions in education is problem-solving, whether through academic achievement, finance, or building highly effective teams. I take pride in my out-of-the-box thinking, which recently has transformed a district in severe financial and academic trouble into a thriving district. 

My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in education from The University of Texas, a master’s degree in Education Administration from Texas State University, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University.

I am the mother of four and grandmother of three. My personal and professional experiences contribute to my holistic approach to education, making me an effective executive coach. 

In my years of experience, I have been fortunate to work for leaders who coached me to become a strong leader, and I feel honored to be able to “pay it forward” and support other educational leaders.
