About Me

I am dedicated to supporting and developing leaders who are committed to leading with authenticity, integrity, and vulnerability. During my nearly 30 years as a leader in public education, I have been effective at building and leading high-performing teams and organizational culture-building.

As superintendent, I led two large school districts that substantially improved outcomes for all student groups by shifting the culture and implementing effective systems for teaching and learning. I have experience leading during times of crisis and great uncertainty, including the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, the Coronavirus pandemic, and Winter Storm Uri.

I currently serve TASA full time as Deputy Executive Director, Member Engagement and Support. I am also a professional executive coach credentialed by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and have served top executives in various corporate and public organizations, including education, healthcare, energy, and manufacturing.

Born in Casablanca, Morocco, I was adopted as an infant, but following a series of childhood loss, I was raised in a group home in Springfield, Missouri. There, local public school teachers helped me capture a vision of who I could become.

I am a Certified Public Accountant, having earned a BBA in Accounting from Harding University, and I hold a Master’s in Education Administration from the University of Houston and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.

I am a culture builder, communicator, and champion for helping others achieve their full potential. I believe authentic investment in others enables us to be our best for ourselves and for others.
