Live Virtual Event: Federal Tax Credits for Schools Under OBBB (now July 30)

July 29 @ 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

TASA members are invited to a free live Zoom briefing at 1 p.m. July 15 or July 30 (was July 29 but had to be moved due to an important DC briefing) on the new federal K-12 Tax Credit Scholarship Program created through the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBB).

Beginning in 2027, the program will allow taxpayers to receive a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit of up to $1,700 for donations to approved Scholarship Granting Organizations. While much attention has focused on private school scholarships, the law also creates opportunities to support eligible public school students through tutoring, special education supports, technology, dual-credit coursework, CTE expenses, and more.

Briefing participants will learn how the program works, what it could mean for Texas public schools and school foundations, and what school leaders should watch for as federal guidance and Texas implementation unfold.

Bring your questions and join this important conversation about a new federal funding opportunity.
