The House Select Committee on Educational Opportunity & Enrichment voted out HB 1, the omnibus ESA voucher and school funding bill, November 10. The bill is scheduled for floor debate in the House this Friday, November 17. The House will convene at 10 a.m.
Strongly Recommended Actions
- Come to Austin and be present in the House gallery as legislators debate this very important bill, possibly as early as 10 a.m.
- Be sure to alert your House member that you will be in Austin to support them in opposing vouchers/ESAs.
- Also be sure to notify TASA’s Casey McCreary, who will be at the Capitol Friday, that you will be present.
- If you are unable to be in Austin for the floor debate, please contact your House member ASAP and urge them to vote no on vouchers/ESAs.
