At the State Board of Education (SBOE) meeting Friday, September 11, 2020, the board took final action on Commissioner of Education Mike Morath’s list of proposed Generation 25 Open-Enrollment Charter Schools.
By taking “no action” on any of the eight proposed charters, board members indicated that they approved of the commissioner’s recommendation to grant the charter to the applicant. With a vote to “veto” the applicant, board members indicated they did not approve of the commissioner’s recommendation.
