TASA Executive Director Kevin Brown participated in a press conference called by public education supporters Monday morning at the Capitol.
Brown spoke alongside Christy Rome, executive director of the Texas School Coalition, and Nancy Humphrey, president of the Plano ISD Board of Trustees, thanking the bipartisan coalition of legislators who stood strong this session against private school vouchers and calling on leaders in the Senate and the Governor’s Office to stop tying efforts to pass a voucher program to legislation that funds public schools.
