The TASA membership has elected six new members to represent them on the TASA Executive Committee beginning June 1, 2022:
|Region 8: Michael Lamb, Sulphur Springs ISD (two-year term)|
|Region 10: John “JJ” Villarreal, Rockwall ISD (two-year term)|
|Region 12: Bobby Ott, Temple ISD (two-year term)|
|Region 16: Sheri Blankenship, Hereford ISD (two-year term)|
|Region 18: Samuel Wyatt, Rankin ISD (two-year term)|
|Region 20: Burnie Roper, Lackland ISD (two-year term)|
Four members of the TASA Executive Committee, eligible to serve another term, will begin new two-year terms on June 1:
|Region 2: Sharon McKinney, Port Aransas ISD|
|Region 4: Martha Salazar-Zamora, Tomball ISD|
|Region 6: Darol Hail, New Waverly ISD|
|Region 14: David Young, Abilene ISD|
Seats on the TASA Executive Committee representing odd-numbered ESC regions will be up for election in 2023.
During the TASA Executive Committee’s regular meeting on Wednesday, March 23, they will ratify the election results and elect the 2022-23 TASA vice president. Current TASA President-Elect Gonzalo Salazar will begin his term as president June 1, while current TASA Vice President LaTonya Goffney will begin her term as president-elect.
