DESCRIPTION:TASA’s First-Time Superintendents Academy (FTSA) — the go-to training for beginning Texas superintendents for decades — has been designed around the most important learning outcomes for first- and second-year superintendents. \nSession 1 of 4: Understanding the Dynamics of Your District\, Community\, and Board | September 9-10\, 2026\nLearn strategies for gaining a better understanding of the dynamics of your new district\, including the logistics of working with your school board and assessing the district’s financial situation. Connect with mentors and formulate a plan for the first 90 days of the school year. First session includes a special kick-off dinner and reception. \nSchedule\nDay One: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. (breakfast\, lunch included) then 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. (reception and dinner) \nDay Two: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. (breakfast included) \nHousing Reservations for Session 1\nParticipants must book their own lodging. A housing block has been reserved at the Marriott Austin North in Round Rock. To get the group rate\, you must book housing through this reservation link by August 28. \nRegistration\nFTSA online registration is now open for all four 2026-27 sessions.
