DESCRIPTION:TASA’s First-Time Superintendents Academy (FTSA) — the go-to training for beginning Texas superintendents for decades — has been designed around the most important learning outcomes for first- and second-year superintendents. \nSession 2 of 4: Establishing Leadership and Prioritizing Change | December 2-3\, 2026\nDive into prioritizing the needs of your new district\, the most effective board practices\, and shaping the narrative about your district through public relations. Begin work on a portfolio of supportive evidence for your superintendent’s evaluation. \nSchedule\nDay One: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. (breakfast\, lunch included) then 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. (reception and dinner) \nDay Two: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. (breakfast included) \nHousing Reservations for Session 2\nParticipants must book their own lodging. DESCRIPTION:TASA partners with N2 Learning to offer the Assistant Principal Leadership Academy (APL)\, which not only prepares assistant principals to take on the role of principal\, but also helps them to grow as transformational leaders. APL has a virtual cohort as well as regional cohorts that meet in-person. The regional cohorts allow assistant principals to learn alongside peers from neighboring districts and allow districts to minimize travel expenses for attendees.
