SUMMARY:First-Time Superintendents Academy Summer Virtual Session
DESCRIPTION:TASA First-Time Superintendents Academy (FTSA) participants who have not yet graduated as well as brand-new superintendents who have not yet started FTSA are invited to a free\, online summer session focused on what new superintendents need to know to launch a successful 2026-27 school year. \nWhen/Where\nMonday\, June 15\, 1:30 to 3 p.m. via Zoom \nBrand-new superintendents are invited to jump on the Zoom at 1 p.m. for a special meet and greet with the TASA leadership team. From 1 to 1:30 p.m.\, you’ll hear an overview of TASA’s FTSA program and get connected with a mentor and an executive coach (six coaching sessions are provided to you free with your FTSA registration).  \nHow to Register for the Free Summer Session\n(limited to current participants of FTSA and brand-new superintendents)\n\nLog in to the TASA Member Services Center (how-to information).\nOnce logged in\, click on this link to go directly to the registration page for this event or use the left navigation on your member profile to go to “Upcoming Events” and choose the event for which you would like to register.\nFollow the prompts to complete checkout.\n\nAbout FTSA\n\nFTSA is the go-to training for beginning Texas superintendents for decades; it is designed around the most important learning outcomes for first- and second-year superintendents.\nFour in-person sessions will be held during the 2026-27 school year for FTSA.\nFTSA is a rolling cohort\, so new superintendents may join at any time throughout the school year. If a participant is unable to attend any of the sessions as scheduled\, they may always register for any missed sessions the following school year.\nCost for each of the four regular sessions is $245 per TASA member and $295 per non-member per session. You must register for each of the four sessions separately.\nParticipation in FTSA and the mentorship program fulfills State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) requirements for a one-year mentorship that includes at least 36 hours of professional development and contact with a mentor at least once monthly.\nFTSA participants have the opportunity to take part in the TASA Executive Coaching Network at no additional cost!\nLearn more about FTSA.\n\nRegular 2026-27 FTSA Session Dates\nYou must register for each session separately. Up to three team members are included in the registration fee!
