SUMMARY:2022 Texas Executive Leadership Group Meeting
DESCRIPTION:TASA is partnering with Lyle Kirtman\, CEO of Future Management Systems Inc.\, to bring his in-depth leadership development program to Texas. Kirtman has asked Karen Rue\, former Texas superintendent and nationally known school leader\, to lead the Texas Executive Leadership Groups — cohorts of eight to 11 Texas superintendents who meet for a series of virtual sessions. \nCohorts are small\, intimate groups\, limited to eight to 10 members\, with the purpose of engaging in meaningful discussions about the challenges and competencies of superintendent leadership in developing creative\, positive school cultures. You’ll leave the sessions with a renewed sense of purpose and a connected network of colleagues who understand the complexities of one of the greatest jobs in education. \nWho Should Register\n\nThe 2022 Executive Leadership Group is limited to eight to 11 participants\, so registration is open only to active Texas school superintendents. If broader interest in the program is expressed\, the program may be expanded to include additional groups. Read more about the session content.  \n\nSession Dates/Format\n\nThe first 2022-23 cohort will meet virtually for six\, two-hour sessions on the following dates: \nSeptember 20\, 2022\nOctober 25\, 2022\nNovember 29\, 2022\nJanuary 17\, 2023\nFebruary 28\, 2023\nApril 18\, 2023 \nCost\n\nThe cost per participant is $800 for TASA members and $900 for school leaders who are not 2022-23 members of TASA. \n\n\nRegistration\nRegistration is closed for the fall 2022 group. \n  \n

SUMMARY:2022-23 Assistant Principal Leadership Academy – Houston Area Cohort
DESCRIPTION:TASA partners with N2 Learning to offer the Assistant Principal Leadership Academy (APL)\, which not only prepares assistant principals to take on the role of principal\, but also helps them to grow as transformational leaders. APL has a virtual cohort as well as regional cohorts that meet in-person. The regional cohorts allow assistant principals to learn alongside peers from neighboring districts and allow districts to minimize travel expenses for attendees.
