SUMMARY:Superintendent Mentor Training
DESCRIPTION:The next TASA Superintendent Mentor Training (to train mentors for TASA’s Superintendent Mentoring Program) will be conducted prior to the 2025 TASA txedFest Summer Conference at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio\, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.\, Monday\, June 9. The training will focus on the skills and superintendent competencies needed for mentors to build strong relationships\, connect to First-Time Superintendents Academy session content\, and provide coaching to new mentees. \nInterested in Being a Mentor?\n\nTASA is seeking successful superintendents who meet the following requirements to serve as mentors: \n\ncertified in Texas as a superintendent\ncommitted to spending the time needed to be a mentor\ncommitted to completing the required mentor training\nprofessionally committed to the Texas public education system\na current TASA member (Active\, Associate\, or Honorary Life)\n\nHow to Register for this Free Event\n\nPlease note: If you have previously participated in the training and have been a mentor in TASA’s mentoring program since January 2020\, and you are on the current TASA mentor list\, you do not need to attend. (Contact Jessica Arceneaux if you are unsure of your status.) \n\nLog in to the TASA Member Services Center. (If you have not yet logged in to this new system launched in 2024\, find important information on doing so here.)\nOnce logged in\, click on this link to go directly to the registration page.\nClick on the “Register Now” button to register yourself for the training.\nFollow the prompts to complete checkout.\n\nIf you have any trouble registering or have questions\, email Jessica Arceneaux or call her at 512.736.1106. \nHousing\nIf you need lodging for the night before or after the training\, or if you are planning to also attend TASA txedFest June 9-11\, please book housing ASAP.
