DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Texas Teacher of the Year application will be available March 4\, opening nominations by school districts/charter operators. \nOnly the official District (or charter operator-selected) Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year are eligible to complete the application for consideration at the regional and state levels. Classroom teachers\, school librarians\, and counselors who teach students at least four hours per day are eligible; administrators are not. Candidates who\, prior to the selection of the state finalists\, accept non-teaching positions (such as in administration or outside a school or district) or in which they teach students for less than four hours each day are not eligible to advance in the state competition. \nApplications must be submitted by midnight on June 15\, 2025. \nLearn more about the Texas Teacher of the Year program. \n

DESCRIPTION:A district subscription to TASA’s School Transformation Network (STN) allows all TASA members in the district to participate in a series of six online events focused on “transforming the basics” — finance\, staffing\, board relations\, and more — the systems that support instruction. \n2024-25 School Transformation Network Session Schedule\nNetwork events will be held virtually on the following Tuesdays\, 10 a.m.-11:15 a.m.: \n\nSeptember 24\, 2024\nOctober 29\, 2024\nDecember 3\, 2024\nFebruary 11\, 2025\nMarch 4\, 2025\nApril 1\, 2025\n\nSTN members will also be invited to attend an optional in-person session on January 28\, 2025\, during the TASA Midwinter Conference. \nHow to Subscribe\nImportant: ONLY those who are listed as superintendents in our system have access to subscribe.
