TASA is partnering with Lyle Kirtman, CEO of Future Management Systems Inc., to bring his in-depth leadership development program to Texas. Kirtman has asked Karen Rue, former Texas superintendent and nationally known school leader, to lead the Texas Executive Leadership Groups — cohorts of eight to 11 Texas superintendents who meet for a series of virtual sessions.
Cohorts are small, intimate groups, limited to eight to 10 members, with the purpose of engaging in meaningful discussions about the challenges and competencies of superintendent leadership in developing creative, positive school cultures. You’ll leave the sessions with a renewed sense of purpose and a connected network of colleagues who understand the complexities of one of the greatest jobs in education.
Who Should Register
The 2022 Executive Leadership Group is limited to eight to 11 participants, so registration is open only to active Texas school superintendents. If broader interest in the program is expressed, the program may be expanded to include additional groups. Read more about the session content.
The first 2022-23 cohort will meet virtually for six, two-hour sessions on the following dates:
September 20, 2022
October 25, 2022
November 29, 2022
January 17, 2023
February 28, 2023
April 18, 2023
The cost per participant is $800 for TASA members and $900 for school leaders who are not 2022-23 members of TASA.
Registration is closed for the fall 2022 group.
