2020-21 FRSLN Event 2: Leadership Focus (Virtual)

March 23, 2021 @ 9:00 am to 3:30 pm

The 2020-21 Future-Ready Superintendents Leadership Network (FRSLN) cohort will participate in a series of events centered around the emerging needs of school leaders while maintaining an emphasis on the principles outlined in the TASA visioning document, Creating a New Vision for Public Education in Texas.

2020-21 FRSLN Event Series

In 2020-21, the experiences will continue to be superintendent-designed and superintendent-led with the help and support of TASA. Events are expected to be hosted virtually, and participant teams are invited to attend all three experiences this year.

Event 1: Stories from Transition

(best practices on remote learning / hybrid learning environments)
November 18-19, 2020 (virtual)

Event 2: Leadership Focus

The TASA Future-Ready Superintendents Leadership Network (FRSLN) event planned for Wednesday, February 24, was postponed to Tuesday, March 23. We will roll all confirmed attendees’ registrations to the March 23 event. If you need to cancel your registration and/or make adjustments to your district’s RSVP for the new event date, please email Maria Cruz. Specific details, agenda, and other logistics will be sent in March.

Event 3: Telling Our Story

(previously designed for the canceled April 2020 event)
April 28-29, 2021 (virtual or in-person, if feasible)

Fees and Additional Seats

Due to the expectation that some or all of the 2020-21 events will be hosted virtually combined with cancellation of the April 2020 event, there will be a $200 per person reduction in subscription fees for 2020-21: $495 for superintendents and $395 per seat for up to three additional team members. If superintendents add extra seats, they do not have to bring the same three team members to all FRSLN events; they may bring different leaders to each event. If in-person events resume in spring 2021, an additional nominal fee per event may be assessed at that time to offset the costs associated with receptions and dinners.
