Eligibility
If you are a retired educator or school administrator who does not meet the criteria for TASA Honorary Life Membership but want to remain connected to Texas public education and the colleagues who shaped your career, you may join TASA as an Associate Member.

Stay Connected to the TASA Community
Maintain the professional relationships you built throughout your career and continue connecting with school leaders and fellow public education advocates. Retired Associate Members may participate in TASA events and other opportunities to stay engaged with the people and issues shaping Texas public schools. Members may also access TASA’s digital membership directories to find and stay connected with school leaders and colleagues throughout the state.
Stay Informed and Strengthen Your Voice for Public Education
Keep up with the news, policy developments, and issues affecting Texas schools through TASA Daily, Capitol Watch Alerts, Advocacy Advisory emails, legislative bill summaries, INSIGHT, Texas School Business, and other timely resources.
You’ll also have information and resources that help you continue to advocate for Texas public schools and support the profession you served.
Give Back to the Profession
Your membership helps TASA develop and support aspiring superintendents and other education leaders, strengthening the leadership pipeline and the future of Texas public education.
Annual Dues
- The TASA membership year runs September 1 of the current year through August 31 of the next year. TASA does not prorate dues for memberships that begin after September 1. Annual membership is not transferable.
- Retired (Associate) Members do NOT have the right to vote, hold office, or receive legal support/financial planning services from TASA.
